Robert Robertson II
Robert Robertson II is the father of protagonist Robert Robertson, and the second Mecha Man--dubbed "Mecha Man Astral."
Biography
Robert "Robbie" Robertson II is the son of Robert Robertson I, the original Mecha Man. His father died saving civilians in his Mecha Man armor, Robbie would develop his own mechanized armor and take up the mantle as the new Mecha Man. Unlike his father's suit, Robbie powered his armor with a unique miniature power core known as the Astral Pulse. He would eventually be dubbed my the public as "Mecha Man Astral."
During his career as Mecha Man, Robbie would become a founding member of the superhero team known as the Brave Brigade alongside Track Star and Elliot Connors. His exploits and engineering expertise would also amass himself a fortune within the millions. Unfortunately, his focus on his career would leave his relationship with his then-young son rather estranged due to repeated neglect.
At some point in his career, Robbie would meet Royd, who was stealing from a Radio Shack. Prior to apprehending him, the two bonded and talked about mechanics for a full hour.
Robbie marries a widow and starts a family, having a son with her: naming him Robert Robertson III. Later on, his former teammate, Elliot, betrayed the Brave Brigade and shot Robbie through the chest. Like his father, he was killed in the line of duty. After his passing, both his fortune and the mantle of Mecha Man would be inherited by his son, Robert.
Appearance
Robert bears a somewhat resemblance to his son--sporting short and spiky dark-brown hair with a handlebar moustache.
When piloting the Astral armor, Robert wears a reinforced white armor over a blue bodysuit and helmet that covers his torso, arms, and lower legs.
