Red Ring
The Red Ring is the main antagonistic faction in Dispatch. They are a powerful criminal organization of supervillains led by Shroud. Members of the Red Ring are notable for wearing augments created by Shroud himself that enhance their capabilities and superpowers, if they have any. These augments usually have a red glowing circle on them and likely served as the inspiration behind their name.
History
The Red Ring was formed sometime after Shroud's escape from prison. Much of the gang's early history is unknown. At some point, Invisigal, then known as Invisibitch, was approached by Shroud, who offered to create augments to fix her asthma in exchange for her services to the Red Ring to pay off her debt.
Desiring to reclaim the Astral Pulse, Shroud planned to ambush its current owner, Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, at the Llewellyn Steel Works. Robert managed to escape, though unbeknownst to him, Invisigal had planted a bomb on his suit shortly before his escape. The suit exploded, and the Pulse was presumed to have been destroyed.
